Blake Thrasher
Market PresidentBlake joined Synovus in 2021, bringing more than two decades of financial services experience. A native of Dallas, TX, Blake expertly matches Synovus clients to the tools and products they need to help their businesses grow. Blake’s career in banking began at the University of Alabama, where he studied finance while playing guard for the Crimson Tide. His love of basketball, and Alabama, continues to this day. When he is not teaching the next generation the finer points of the game, he and his wife, Jennifer, enjoy traveling with their three sons.

Maggie Tanner
Director, Private Wealth ManagementMaggie Tanner’s more than two decades of experience have informed her understanding of the complex liability and liquidity needs of families, busy professionals, and business owners. Her expertise incorporates banking solutions into comprehensive wealth strategies tailor-made for each client. A native of Huntsville, AL, Maggie joined Synovus in 2016. In 2020, she received the James D. Yancey Customer Covenant Award and was inducted into the Chairman’s Circle of Excellence. Maggie earned her bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Mississippi. She holds Series 7 and Series 66 certifications, as well as an insurance license.
Maggie’s passion is making banking about her clients, not an institution, and delivering fresh ideas with the highest level of responsiveness and service. “I love helping clients think through financial concerns and finding the best solutions for them.” She and her husband, Richard M. Tanner, MD, a general surgeon, returned to Alabama with their children after eight years in Chattanooga, TN. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, biking, cooking, Little League, and traveling.
