Southern Point Staffing Sees Success Year After Year

You might think that all staffing companies are the same, but you’d be wrong. Brianna and Jason Wilson are doing things differently at Southern Point Staffing (SPS) in Leesburg, and it shows.

“We connect people with businesses to create a better future for them,” says Jason. That means caring about the people.

“They’re not just a number to us,” says Brianna. “Every job we have, every person we put to work…we are hoping for a long-term placement for them.”

Southern Point Staffing opened in 2013, and by 2018, gross revenue had exploded to $4.7 million. “We grew so fast,” says Brianna, acknowledging that the team needed to put a solid foundation in place to ensure that their company was structurally sound and prepared for even more growth.

Synovus has been there from the start when SPS only had three employees and was staffing for two local businesses. “Synovus helped us get a construction loan to renovate and add to the building we are currently in,” says Jason, which now houses ten employees providing talent to dozens of regional businesses.

While the pandemic was tough for everyone, staffing came to a halt. But Synovus was there to help. “They didn’t have to do this,” says Jason, “and we didn’t end up needing to, but they offered to put our mortgage payments on hold.” Two PPP loans with Synovus also helped keep the business afloat. “I just don’t know how other companies did it,” says Jason. “I know other people that just don’t have as good of a relationship with their bank as we do.”
