Meet our team in Greenville

Dixon Harrill

Market President
South Carolina Upstate Region

With more than 35 years of banking experience, Dixon joined Synovus in 2017 to lead the upstate region of South Carolina, including the Greenville, Spartanburg, and Anderson markets. “Right here in our communities, we take care of people, families, and companies by helping them meet their financial needs,” says Dixon. “We have such great people and a great culture here.”

Dixon earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Furman University, and he’s also a graduate of the National Commercial Lending School at the University of Oklahoma and the Graduate Banking School at Louisiana State University. A native of South Carolina, Dixon is thankful to call this area “home.” He lives in Greenville with his wife, and they have four children. In his free time, Dixon njoys spending time on the lake with his family.

Amanda Whisnant

Private Wealth Advisor

A banker for over 13 years, Amanda joined Synovus in 2017 to lead the retail and business banking efforts in Anderson, South Carolina. When the Anderson branch closed, Mandi transitioned to Private Wealth and is now covering the Greenville and Anderson markets. “I’m excited to be part of Synovus, a bank that truly values its deep roots in hometown banking,” Amanda says. “Immediately I could tell the leadership here has a strong focus on cultivating a family atmosphere and delivering a personal touch.”

A long-time resident of South Carolina, Amanda earned her bachelor’s degree from the South Carolina Bankers School of Business Management. In her free time, Amanda leads a busy life with her husband, Chad, and their four children. Amanda and Chad are both active volunteers with the March of Dimes and at their local church.

Mark Freeman

Middle Market Banker, Sr.

Mark Freeman joined Synovus in 2019 to be part of an organization and team that is growing—and one that has a culture of integrity. He enjoys developing relationships with customers and prospects and finding banking solutions that meet their needs. In banking for over 30 years, he holds a Bachelor of Art in journalism from The University of Georgia, as well as an MBA from Vanderbilt University. The married father of two grew up in Greenville, SC and enjoys football and weightlifting.

Jarred Overcash

Regional Retail Sales Manager
South Carolina

Jarred joined Synovus in 2018 bringing 20 years of banking experience with him. He earned a Business Administration and Management degree from the College of Charleston, where he also played baseball. Jarred is motivated by building effective relationships with everyone in the industry, whether competitor, customer, peer, team member, direct report or prospect. He has been successful at coaching his team to a high performance of helping customers reach their financial goals. When not working, Jarred enjoys fishing, family beach trips and supporting his 4 daughters’ athletic activities.
