Damon Olinto

Damon B. Olinto

Market President

A native of Jacksonville, Damon was a high school math teacher and baseball coach for many years before moving to the world of finance. With a degree in banking and finance from the University of North Florida, he first worked at three other Jacksonville-area banks as a specialist in commercial, industrial and commercial real estate lending. He joined Synovus in 2003, initially as president of Synovus Bank of Jacksonville, and became our CEO in 2009. In 2013, he was named CEO of both First Coast Community Bank and Synovus Bank of Jacksonville. As chief executive, Damon is responsible for our client services and financial operations, with a focus on business banking and wealth management. Out of the office, he enjoys “golf, coaching children’s sports, golf, family, golf, reading and golf.” He is a recent grandfather.

Alan Boyer

Retail Market Manager

Alan Boyer joined Synovus in 2018. With nearly 15 years of financial services experience, Alan serves clients in the Fernandina Beach area to advise and help with their investing needs. “Coming from a larger organization, the benefit I saw with Synovus was a smaller, more responsive company,” Alan shares. “I’ve been very pleased with the responsiveness and support at Synovus since I joined the team in March 2018.”

Alan earned his degree from the University of Akron in Ohio, with advanced studies at the Center for Creative Leadership and the University of Michigan. In addition, Alan also holds the Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP) designation from American College of Financial Services. Alan has been married to his wife, Sherril, for over 30 years. In his free time, Alan is an avid golfer.
