Matthew Nodtvedt

Director, Alternative Energy Banking
For Matthew P. Nodtvedt, banking is a rewarding and noble profession. “So much depends on our ability to allocate capital responsibly. Our communities thrive when we do it effectively,” he says. He knows that with access to the right financial resources and knowledge, people can accomplish amazing things. “It’s both exciting and humbling to contribute towards the achievement of someone’s goals,” he says. “Charleston is a remarkable place and I’m grateful for the opportunity to make a career in the long-term economic success of my hometown.” This lifelong resident of the Lowcountry was raised on Isle of Palms and attended Porter-Gaud School and Clemson University. He relocated back to Charleston in 2009, where he has been a commercial banker ever since. A graduate of the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking at The University of Pennsylvania (where he also earned the Leadership Certificate from The Wharton School’s Aresty Institute of Executive Education), he resides in Mt. Pleasant with his wife, two children and dog.
