Scott Preston

J. Scott Preston

Market President

Scott began his banking career as a Commercial Lender after earning his MBA in 1991. After serving in lending and leadership roles, he joined the Synovus Corporate office in Columbus working in various capacities including product development, credit administration and treasury management. In 2015, Scott joined the Synovus Northwest Georgia Division as Executive Vice President and COO at Citizens First Bank. Scott lives in Rome with his wife, Jennifer and their two children, Emily and Jackson.

Barry Blevins

Market President-Calhoun/Senior Vice President

Barry Blevins has been with the Synovus family since 2008, and he is proud of the personal service he is able to provide his clients by working with a community bank. He is a native of northwest Georgia and a graduate of Dalton State College. He and his wife Holly have two teenage sons. In his free time, he acts as Color Commentator for Calhoun High School’s athletics, works as a community basketball coach, and enjoys collecting old Star Wars and superhero toys.
