We’re monitoring Tropical Storm Isaias
Tropical Storm Isaias continues to progress towards the Gulf Coast, and we expect some of our branches and team members to experience storm impacts resulting in closed locations or adjusted hours. We’ll keep you updated on branch hours and closures, and any other important information on this page.
Important information and steps you can take now
- If you and your family are evacuating, please remember we have locations across the region, including Synovus ATMs, along major evacuation routes. Search for branch and ATM locations online or through the My Synovus app.
- My Synovus, ATMs, and Telephone Banking all offer easy ways to check balances and transfer funds should you need to access your account during the storm or send money to a loved one in the affected areas.
- Download the My Synovus app from Google Play or the Apple App Store and know your username and password. You may want to take a minute to update your settings to allow your security code to be sent by text instead of receiving a call to a landline.
- Please be sure we have your most up-to-date personal contact information, and business contact information if applicable, on file in case we need to reach you.
- As much as you try to prepare, once the storm has made landfall it’s time to deal with the aftermath and focus on recovery.
- Remember fraudsters never take a break, even when natural disasters strike. Make sure you stay alert to protect yourself.
Recommendations for business customers
If you’re a business customer, we suggest the following to help manage your business during the storm:
- Have multiple ways to contact your team and be prepared for some team members to be offline
- Ensure you know who can approve and initiate payments if needed
- Send payment files now in case you don’t have internet access or are offline during the storm
- Anticipate stalled accounts receivable payments as your customers may be impacted by the storm
- Leverage electronic payment channels, where possible, in anticipation of branch closures
- Prepare yourself to spot fraud attempts during natural disasters; question instructions being provided from both internal and external e-mails accounts, and ensure you have fully verified any requests by the authorized party
If you are a business customer and you find your access to Synovus Gateway digital banking or other online services disrupted, please call 888-SYNOVUS for assistance in completing critical business tasks.
