Pinnacle Financial Partners is No. 4 in market share for Atlanta and statewide in Georgia

Firm’s local teams continue growth, hold top market share while serving clients through integration with Synovus

ATLANTA, Sept. 23, 2026 – Pinnacle Financial Partners continued to grow across Georgia following its merger with Synovus, reaching $29.9 billion in deposits as of June 30, 2026, according to newly released FDIC data. Pinnacle now ranks No. 4 statewide, with 8.2% market share, while holding top market share in four MSAs in the state.

In Atlanta, where the firm’s corporate headquarters are located, Pinnacle is ranked No. 4 by deposits after a year of double-digit pro forma combined growth to $17.1 billion.

“This year’s numbers look different because two strong Atlanta franchises are now one, but the more important story is what comes next,” said Charlie Clark, Pinnacle’s state head of Georgia banking. “Georgia clients placed their trust in us, and our team members have kept those relationships strong. We now have greater scale in Atlanta without changing the local, relationship-driven approach that has powered Pinnacle’s growth.”

Statewide, the combined firm earned No. 1 market share in Athens-Clarke County, Columbus, Valdosta and Warner Robins, and saw pro forma combined market share growth in five additional markets. Pinnacle grew deposits in eight of the 12 MSAs in which it operates in Georgia, including a 30% climb in Macon-Bibb County over the previous year.
