Emery Johnson named financial advisor at Pinnacle Financial Partners in Rome

Legacy Synovus banker expands advisory role to serve Northwest Georgia clients

ROME, Ga., July 20, 2026 — Pinnacle Financial Partners, which merged with Synovus Bank, has named Emery Johnson as a financial advisor for its Rome, Georgia, office, expanding his role to include banking services, financial planning, investment guidance and wealth management strategies tailored to clients’ personal and business goals.

Johnson joined Synovus in 2022 and served as a wealth credit specialist in Rome. He will continue serving local clients within this expanded role as Synovus transitions to the Pinnacle brand following the banks’ merger earlier this year.

“Emery has earned this opportunity by showing clients the kind of steady, attentive service that builds trust over time,” said Bill Davies, Northwest Georgia leader for the firm. “He is invested in the Rome community, so expanding his role gives business and personal clients in Rome another resource to help them make informed decisions for their families, businesses and long-term goals.”

Johnson earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and an MBA from Valdosta State University. He holds multiple industry licenses and was a 2025 graduate of Synovus Wealth University, an internal professional development program focused on wealth advisory services. Johnson serves on the Valdosta State University Alumni Association board and previously served on the board of directors for Skilled Missions Alaska, Inc.

Through existing relationships, knowledge of the Rome market and experience across banking and wealth services, Johnson helps clients connect their day-to-day financial needs with longer-term financial goals.

Pinnacle’s merger with Synovus closed in January 2026, bringing together two relationship-focused financial firms with a shared commitment to serving clients and communities across the Southeast. The transition to the Pinnacle brand will continue through the first quarter of 2027 as integration is completed.
