Urban League honors relationship banker’s dedication with Member of the Year award
Community service plays a significant role in Asia Cladd’s life. “Serving is a part of who I am,” says the lead relationship banker at Synovus. “It shaped my values and continues to influence how I show up in professional and community spaces.”
A 2025 Member of the Year for the Urban League of the River Valley Young Professionals, Cladd was recognized for her community work as the organization’s secretary and fundraising co-chair.
The Urban League has served as a space for empowerment, connection and community impact. “ULRVYP has surrounded me with like-minded young professionals who are passionate about change, and it’s pushed me to grow as a leader. Being a part of this network has played a role in my success at the bank.”
For two years, Cladd has worked closely with clients. In her role, she helps them feel confident about financial choices, creates a welcoming environment, identifies their needs and offers tailored banking solutions. “It always brightens my day when a client thanks me for helping or educating them. Moments like that remind me that I’m making a real impact and staying true to my commitment to serve,” she explains.
Cladd uses the skills from her banking role to assist her colleagues in ULRVYP. “I’m used to managing event logistics, coordinating teams and delegating tasks — all of which translates directly into how I help plan events,” she says.

Providing opportunities for ULRVYP members, Cladd is part of the planning team that organizes Think Like a Professional, a community-centered networking event that empowers attendees to authentically increase their professional connections. Cladd supported the event by working alongside the fundraising chair to secure sponsorships and manage key logistics to ensure an impactful experience for participants.
Cladd shares that receiving recognition from the Urban League was an honor that meant a lot to her and motivates her to keep working within the group. Nominees for the annual award must exemplify the organization's mission through exceptional professional and personal contributions to the community. Recipients exhibit strong civic and community engagement, including notable professional achievements and leadership skills.
ULRVYP President Tiffany McBride shares that “Asia’s contributions represent the very heart of our mission. She embodies the spirit of service, advocacy and empowerment that ULRVYP strives to promote.” She continues, “Asia’s dedication inspires others and strengthens our ability to serve the community effectively.”
Cladd, a native of Americus, Georgia, says her role at the bank influences how she approaches her work in the Urban League. "It's a journey of growth, service and learning, and I'm grateful for every opportunity to contribute," she adds.
