Synovus appoints new Central Florida advisory board members



ORLANDO, Fla., March 31, 2025 — Synovus has appointed three new members to its Central Florida advisory board: Basil Cornell, eastern Florida market president at NOW CFO, Kevin Grullon, managing partner of public accounting firm H&CO’s Orlando and Melbourne offices, and Quinton Schlegel, commercial insurance agent with Insurance Office of America.

Cornell oversees financial consulting services at NOW CFO. She has held multiple leadership roles at the financial accounting firm and leverages her expertise in business development, organizational growth and strategic communications to drive business success and operational excellence. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Daytona State College.
Grullon directs H&CO’s strategic vision, business development initiatives and client relationships. With expertise in tax planning and strategy, he has more than 17 years of public accounting experience working with clients in the real estate, construction and family office industries. Grullon is a CPA and earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and master’s degree in taxation from the University of Central Florida.
Schlegel specializes in customized risk management solutions for businesses at Insurance Office of America. With 14 years of experience in the insurance industry and deep knowledge of the evolving risks for businesses, he tailors strategies to address unique challenges and uses innovative solutions to offer clients greater control over insurance costs.
