Synovus names new members to Gulf Coast advisory board
TAMPA, Fla., Sept. 12, 2023 — Synovus has appointed several local business leaders to its Gulf Coast advisory board.

Synovus’ local advisory boards provide counsel and promote partnerships that enable Synovus to strengthen its local markets while furthering the financial and economic health of individuals, businesses, communities and other stakeholders.
The new advisory board appointees are:
Brian Carter, CPA is a partner with Mauldin & Jenkins, LLC, where he provides accounting, auditing and tax services to nonprofits, affordable housing developers, restaurants and manufacturing and distribution entities. He serves as a board member of PACE Center for Girls – Manatee and is the Calusa Region Chair for Leadership Florida.
Dan Dykgraaf is the founder of Space Source, a provider of commercial and residential space, and he has developed more than $1 billion of real estate. He owns and manages several domestic and international businesses in transportation, construction, manufacturing and hospitality.
Gayle Luper is owner of several beach resorts, including Bungalow Beach Resort. She is a long-standing community volunteer who is dedicated to civic, political and religious organizations in Florida’s Southwest coast.
Wayne Ruben founded WMR Consulting LLC, a real estate consulting firm. He was the founding director of Gateway Bank, a former Florida chartered bank, and currently serves as the chair of the Sarasota Downtown Improvement District Board.
