Synovus names Alan Najjar to Atlanta Advisory Board

ATLANTA, Ga., April 25, 2023 — Synovus today announced the appointment of Alan Najjar, director of business development at Smith + Howard, to its local Atlanta Advisory Board.

Since 2011, Najjar has led Smith + Howard’s business development efforts, using his experience in banking, executive leadership and operations to grow the tax, accounting and advisory firm with a national reach headquartered in Atlanta. Najjar started his career in banking after graduating from the University of Georgia. An Atlanta banking and business veteran, Najjar has held executive level leadership positions at SunTrust Banks Inc. He serves on the board of directors for The Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce and is a trustee emeritus for the Georgia Gwinnett College Foundation and Community Foundation for Northeast Georgia.
