Thank you for 125 years!

In the mid 1880’s, when an employee at the Eagle & Phenix Mill got her skirt caught in a piece of mill machinery, her entire life savings fell to the floor. When factory executives realized the employee had sewn her money in the lining of her skirt because she felt that was the safest place to keep her valuables, they offered to protect the money for her in the company vault. That single act of kindness was the beginning of a very different kind of bank – one that wasn’t founded on financial gain, but on meeting the needs of individuals.

Today our company’s founding principles of trust, service and commitment to our community still set us apart. Synovus Bank divisions and companies throughout our footprint enjoy a shared history of meeting individual needs and a culture of caring.

We appreciate the trust our team members, customers and community partners have placed in us over the years. That trust will always be our inspiration.

Thank you for 125 years!
