Coastal Bank and Trust’s Mathis Retires – Norris Named Successor
Pensacola, FL., April 19, 2017— Synovus Bank today announced Eddie Norris as president of Pensacola’s Coastal Bank and Trust, following the July 1 retirement of Jim Mathis. Norris previously served as president for CB&T of Middle Georgia, a Synovus division in Warner Robins. Mathis has been with Synovus for 25 years, serving in the Pensacola, Atlanta, and Valparaiso markets.

Norris joined Columbus Bank and Trust in 1986 as an assistant branch manager and has held a range of positions in the industry. He was named president of CB&T of Middle Georgia in 2008. Norris is a graduate of Columbus State University.
