BNG Raises $28,000 for "Feed the Hungry" Campaign

Alpharetta, GA - In October 2013, Bank of North Georgia launched a “Feed the Hungry” fundraiser to purchase food for needy families in their service area. Their goal was to raise $25,000 to purchase 5,000 boxes of food in partnership with Action Ministries, whose relationship with Publix Super Markets makes it possible to purchase a box containing $30 worth of groceries for only $5. In the end, BNG raised more than $28,000, which will provide more than 100,000 meals to Georgia families in need! Eileen Burton, manager of the South Park branch, summarized the results of the competition very well: “There is only one real winner here … the people who will be served in our communities.”
