Yes, it’s Liam’s, opened in 2002 to provide high-quality food without the highbrow atmosphere. “We tailor our menu to what customers like, and to what is fresh,” says owner Rhonda Foster. “We also like to give them an opportunity to try something they might not normally get to try.”

Synovus helped Liam’s buy the space it now occupies, and recently Synovus financed the restaurant’s renovation and expansion. Wanting to “provide an experience that was not in town before,” Rhonda gave the new gathering space a pub feel. Among its offerings are a variety of craft beers, with a dozen on tap.
Every now and then, Liam’s offers a specialty dinner so people can learn about different foods and cultures. For example, reindeer meat was on the menu at a Finland-themed dinner.
